Last Thursday evening, professionals from across Boston’s business and tech communities gathered at the Top of the Hub Restaurant and Lounge in the Prudential Center to help 4Sight celebrate the launch of em360, the latest version of our enterprise performance and optimization software platform. It was truly an honor to be so warmly welcomed by the Boston community! With breathtaking views of the city skyline setting the scene for a night of conversations, networking and previews of the software, the atmosphere could only be improved by the incredible food and attentive staff.
Emcees for the evening, Marketing Manager Prema Srinivasan and Product Manager Eduardo Gomez, kicked off the event by introducing the keynote speaker, Dr. Fernando Albertorio, cofounder of Libboo Inc. A scientist, teacher, and entrepreneur, his illustrious career spans high-level organizations, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Harvard University. Dr. Albertorio’s fascination and application of data led his scientific career through various fields, including human genomics where he and his team worked on developing machines for rapid and affordable human genome sequencing.
Dr. Albertorio’s presentation, “Data over Hunches in the Age of Abundance,” emphasized that more data is not always better. Compounded by digital media and mobile devices changing the landscapes of many markets, the sheer volume of available data makes it difficult to understand the underlying story. Dr. Albertorio emphasized the importance of identifying the right data to enable better decision making for a highly targeted audience– a concept at the heart of 4Sight’s mission to help global organizations maximize productivity and efficiency through technology.
This informative and entertaining speech was followed by an introduction to 4Sight Technologies, a sneak peak at what the latest version of em360 can do through videos (RO and BI) and comments from VP of Technology Arun Siva. CEO Hernan Clarke also noted that 4Sight has been honored with an award from CIO Review as one of the 10 Most Promising Aerospace Tech Consulting Providers and was recognized by the governments of Panama and Colombia for the innovative work the company has done in business intelligence and enterprise quality management for the two countries.
To conclude the presentation part of the evening, 4Sight was honored to acknowledge two local high school students who are pursuing education and careers in technology. Levante Anderson-Billings and Anteneh Mekonnen are both Green Ambassadors at the Boston Green Academy and lead by example in terms of civic and environmental responsibility. To help the two prepare as they head to college in the fall, UMass Darthmouth and Roger Williams University in Rhode Island respectively, 4Sight awarded each student with a certificate of recognition and a laptop. This is just one example of 4Sight’s dedication to furthering the advancement of technological innovation for future generations.
4Sight would like to thank each and every person who attended and contributed to the success of the event. It is a true pleasure to be part of such an innovative and welcoming Boston community. Please enjoy browsing through the photos below; we look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
