Shop Floor
When organizations have multiple maintenance and repair facilities, the ability to monitor the work scheduled and performed, the shifts to accomplish the work, as well as maintaining an efficient operation are all issues that EM360 assists organizations subscribing to Lean principals.
This module was designed to give your organization real time management of the shop floor by allowing the creation of work centers while permitting shift leaders to assign work to their staff. Tight integration between the Scheduling and Planning solutions gives an organizations management the liberty to focus on the weekly work shift down to the individual work shift. This comprehensive module enables your organization to manage all levels of maintenance or repairs occurring in a given systems work center(s).
Today’s lean organizations can visualize any work on a specific asset(s) while forcing a logical and efficient plan to completion. The Asset Status helps to address issues instantly eliminating delays while ensuring the highest quality work is being performed. This is accomplished by re-base lining work which maximizes resources and minimizes waste ensuring a Lean operation.
As work accumulates, Work Queues allow non-lead personnel and management to communicate electronically while integrating with the shop clock. This solution gives organizations the authority to accept or reject work hours submitted increasing accountability and reducing the abuse of time. In addition, the Shift Calendar was applied to the Set-Up portion of EM360 to reduce constantly changing shift schedules and to apply tighter control on the scheduling.
To allow organizations to foresee any delays such as; lack of materials, or unavailable parts, the Work Order module was created. This feature enables modifications in planning as the impact of incomplete work is analyzed.
Integrated with the Warehouse module is the ability to track tools and parts. Within this process, administrators can request specific tools and parts for a job and EM360 ensures compatibility with existing systems, determines if inventory levels are adequate as well as assigning primary vendors for inventory refreshment. Lastly, secondary vendors are listed adding a comforting redundancy to this process.
Because many organizations have geographically dispersed service centers, EM360 gives the freedom to name and define maintenance or repair centers to specifications such as engine repair or paint, purposely addressing the work performed at each facility. This feature gives your organization the ability to have a global view of all maintenance and repair facilities within the network.
Keeping work organized, queued and integrated ensures maximum productivity and efficiency. Moreover, effective communication of scheduled, current work as well as work performed ensures all assets are being utilized to their maximum effect. EM360 creates an integrated solution designed to address these needs while minimizing waste and promoting a Lean profitable organization.
